Here are some of our most frequently asked questions:

We typically call patients in the late morning or early afternoon one business day before surgery.

Your age, your health status, and the type of procedure you are having are all taken into consideration when scheduling the time your surgery will take place.

You may be called up to three times before surgery. We will call to notify you of any payment that may be due at the time of surgery. We will call again to ask you pre-operative questions or you may hear a voice recording reminding you that you can register online. You can expect a third call the day before your procedure, telling you at what time you should arrive at the surgery center.

Yes. However, as a courtesy to others in the waiting area, we ask that you turn down the phone’s ringer. Please speak quietly while on the phone, or leave the waiting area to make your call. You may not use your phone’s camera (or any other type of camera) in patient care area’s of the facility.

We make every effort to allow you to visit with your family prior to surgery.

Your anesthesiology provider and your doctor will stop by your room to talk with you and answer any questions you may have before going into the operating room.

If the patient is a minor, one person is required to remain in the surgery center. If you choose to leave, please go to the front desk and give the receptionist the best telephone number we can use to reach you. However, if you leave the surgery center, you may miss the opportunity to talk with the surgeon.

Please wear loose comfortable clothing (a short-sleeve, button-front shirt is best). Please leave rings and valuable jewelry at home. If you wear glasses or contacts, bring a case to store them in. Please do NOT wear makeup, perfume, or nail polish.
